What We Collect

For each visitor to the PlanSmartChoice™ site, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name, but not the e-mail address (where possible). We collect e-mail addresses as well as response data provided during registration and use of the site's features. We also collect aggregate information on the pages accessed or visited by users, user-specific information on the pages accessed or visited by users, and other information volunteered by users, such as survey information.

How the Information Is Used

ADP uses the collected information for the following purposes. First, we use the aggregate information about the areas of the site visited to improve the quality and usability of the site. Second, we use the responses you provide to the tools on the site, in aggregate form only, to analyze consumer behavior data. We believe by analyzing this information, we can assist employers and health plans to understand consumers' health care needs. Third, this information, in aggregate form, with no user identifiable information, may be provided to certain outside parties. We do not provide individually identifiable information to any outside parties, including the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), unless we are required to do so in order to comply with any valid legal process or government demand (such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order).

ADP may contact users by e-mail address to respond to comments submitted. In addition, after the open enrollment season, we contact users for purposes of learning about their health plan decisions, helping to improve the site, notifying users when the site is available for a new benefit year, providing updates about new site features, or promoting products or services offered by business partners or site sponsors. We do not make e-mail addresses available to any outside parties. If you have submitted your e-mail address and would like it removed from our system, you may contact us using the Contact Us feature and tell us to remove it, or respond to any e-mail correspondence with REMOVE in the subject line.

Use of Cookies

To use this site, you must enable temporary cookies. We use temporary cookies that are removed when you close your browser. The temporary cookies are used only to provide users with the plan information relevant to them as they use the site.

This Web site also uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies," which are text files placed on your computer, to help the Web site analyze how the site is used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Web site (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Web site, compiling reports on Web site activity for Web site operators and providing other services relating to Web site activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Data Encryption and Security

The information you provide while using the site is stored in a secured, password protected location. We always use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged with our site. In addition, we have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities, (hosted by Windstream) to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.

Policy Changes

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post changes to the policy on our site and use, for these new purposes, only data collected from the time of the policy change forward. ADP will never release any information in an individually identifiable manner.
